Concrete Groovers & Jointers

Concrete groovers and jointers are essential hand tools used to create control joints and grooves in fresh concrete slabs. These joints guide where the concrete will crack as it cures and shrinks, preventing random cracking and giving slabs a professional, clean finish. Groovers vs jointers
A concrete groover cuts a V-shaped or curved groove into the surface of fresh concrete to create a deliberate weak point — controlling crack location. A jointer performs a similar function but is typically used at slab edges and between sections. Both tools are available in a range of widths and groove radius options to suit different slab thicknesses and project specifications.
