Choosing the right cordless concrete vibrator
Cordless vibrators use rechargeable battery packs (typically 18V or higher) to drive the internal vibrator motor in the poker head. Key specs to compare: battery voltage and capacity (Ah — higher Ah for longer runtime per charge), poker diameter (smaller for confined areas, larger for faster consolidation of bigger pours), vibration frequency (VPM), and whether the battery platform is compatible with other tools you already own. Runtime per charge varies with poker diameter, concrete mix and continuous vs intermittent use. Always have spare charged batteries on hand to avoid interruptions during a pour. Cordless vibrators are not suited to very large continuous pours where an electric or backpack unit is more practical.
