PTO Generators

PTO (Power Take-Off) generators are tractor-driven generators that draw power directly from the tractor's PTO shaft, converting the tractor's engine power into electrical output. They are the most fuel-efficient and cost-effective solution for high-output power generation on farms and large rural properties where a tractor is already available. Choosing the right PTO generator
PTO generators are rated by their electrical output (kVA/kW) and the PTO input speed required (typically 540 RPM or 1000 RPM — must match your tractor's PTO specification). Key specs to compare: rated output (kVA/kW), required PTO speed (540 or 1000 RPM), required tractor horsepower (HP) to drive the generator at rated output, and outlet configuration (240V single-phase and/or 415V three-phase). Ensure your tractor's PTO horsepower comfortably exceeds the generator's power requirement at full load. PTO generators require a correctly rated PTO shaft (not included) and appropriate safety guarding. Both single-phase 240V and three-phase 415V output models are available — select based on the equipment you need to power.
