Diamond Flap Discs

Diamond flap discs are ideal for edge grinding on small hand-held angle grinders. Suitable for grinding and polishing porcelain, tiles, ceramic, granite, marble, Dekton and similar hard surfaces, they are also widely used across cemented carbide, stainless steel, monocrystalline silicon, thermal spray coating, stone, glass and other demanding industries.

How diamond flap discs work
A diamond flap disc consists of a base (typically plastic or aluminium) with several overlapping flaps arranged around it. Each flap features a diamond layer, a supporting layer and a cloth base backing. When rotating at high speed, grinding heat is transferred to the supporting layer, which quickly dissipates it and maintains adhesion between the cloth backing and base — preventing flap drop and extending disc life.
