Camping Generators

Camping generators provide portable power for recreational vehicles, caravans, campsites and off-grid setups where access to mains power is unavailable. At BetonTools, we stock compact petrol and inverter generators suited to camping, caravanning and outdoor recreation use across Australia.

Choosing the right camping generator
For camping use, the most important considerations are noise level, weight and portability, and power output relative to your actual load. Inverter generators are the most popular choice for camping ā€” they run significantly quieter than conventional generators, are more fuel-efficient at partial load, and produce clean sine wave power safe for sensitive electronics including laptops, phone chargers and CPAP machines. Conventional petrol generators offer higher output for the price but are louder and heavier. Key specs to compare: rated output (kVA/kW), noise level (dB at rated load), dry weight, runtime at 25% load, and whether the unit supports parallel operation with a second unit for additional capacity. Always check caravan park noise restrictions and generator rules before use.
