How blower vacs work
In blower mode, the unit blows debris into a pile for easy collection. Switch to vacuum mode and the unit sucks up leaves and debris, passing them through an impeller that shreds the material before collecting it in a bag — reducing volume by up to 10:1 compared to unshredded leaves. This makes disposal or composting much faster and easier. Key specs to compare: air speed and volume in blower mode, collection bag capacity, and shred ratio. Always check whether your model requires a separate attachment kit to switch between blower and vac modes.
