A bull float is a large, flat finishing tool used to smooth and level fresh concrete immediately after screeding. Mounted on a long handle, bull floats allow concreters to cover large slab areas quickly — flattening ridges, filling voids and bringing the cream to the surface without the operator needing to walk on the fresh concrete. At BetonTools, we stock professional bull floats and accessories for concreters across Australia.
Bull float sizes and materials
Bull floats are available in a range of widths to suit different pour sizes and finishing requirements. Browse by size: 600mm, 900mm, 1100mm, 1200mm, 1500mm and 1800mm. Magnesium bull floats are the industry standard for most concrete work — they are lightweight, resist concrete build-up and produce a smooth, consistent finish. Aluminium bull floats are a durable, cost-effective alternative. Both styles are compatible with our range of telescopic handles and extension poles for extended reach on large pours.
