Concrete Edgers

Concrete edgers are hand finishing tools used to round, bevel or profile the edges and joints of freshly poured concrete slabs, paths, driveways and steps. Edging creates a clean, defined edge that reduces chipping and spalling, improves the appearance of finished concrete, and is required on most residential and commercial concrete flatwork. Concrete edger types
Standard radius edgers produce a rounded bullnose edge on the slab perimeter — available in a range of radii (6mm, 10mm, 13mm, 19mm, 25mm) and widths to suit different slab thicknesses and edge profiles. Curved end edgers feature curved ends that allow the tool to be used in both directions without leaving marks at the tool ends. Chamfer edgers produce a 45-degree bevelled edge rather than a rounded bullnose, commonly used on steps, kerbs and architectural concrete work. Bullnose edgers (Masterfinish AG Pulie range) are available in a wide range of radii and widths for kerb and gutter, path and slab edge profiles. Hand edgers are compact, single-handle tools for working in tight areas and along formwork. Step and safety edgers are designed for stair nosings and step edges. Safety groovers cut a control joint into the surface to control cracking. Available in stainless steel, blue steel and bronze, with Durasoft, ProForm, cork and standard handles.
