Distar Discovery SDS+ Dry Core Drill Bits for Reinforced Concrete
Distar Discovery Diamond Core Drill Bits cut large holes in brick and concrete without water. Use them for pipes, conduit, air conditioning and ventilation openings. For reinforced concrete, choose a suitable machine and drilling setup. The compact 150 mm working length makes the bits easier to handle, with 13 diameters from 32 mm to 162 mm.

Which Drill Can You Use?
These bits have an M16 thread, not a direct SDS+ shank. Choose the correct adapter for your machine. Adapter options include S10, SDS+, M18 and 1 1/4-inch UNC.
Depending on the material, hole size and machine specifications, you can use:
- A suitable cordless screwdriver or drill
- A suitable standard drill
- A suitable rotary hammer in rotary-only mode, with hammer action switched off
- A suitable diamond drilling machine or rig
Not every drill can run every bit size or drill every material. Match the bit diameter, adapter and operating speed to your machine and the job. Cordless equipment is an option for suitable applications, not a replacement for a drilling rig on every job.

Accessories to Suit Your Setup
- Distar Discovery 1¼-inch UNC to M16 adaptor (79568442125): Listed with a 1¼-inch UNC internal thread and M16 external thread, for connecting an M16 Discovery bit to a compatible 1¼-inch UNC machine spindle. Confirm both threads and the machine's drilling capacity and approved drilling mode before use.
- Distar Discovery SDS+ to M16 adaptor (333217): Fit the M16 core bit to a suitable SDS+ rotary hammer. Use rotary-only mode with hammer action switched off.
- Distar Discovery S10 to M16 adaptor (333216): Fit the core bit to a suitable drill or cordless screwdriver with a chuck that accepts the S10 shank.
- Distar CENTRATOR 200 x 10.2 mm centring guide (10216025084): Help keep the bit on your centre mark when starting the hole. Check that your Discovery adaptor accepts the 10.2 mm guide.
- Distar Discovery M16 extensions, 200 mm or 300 mm: Add reach for deeper holes. Choose 200 mm (333219) or 300 mm (333220) and check your machine's capacity for the total drilling length.
- Distar DrillDUSTER 82 3.0 dust collector (71419031048): Connect to a suitable vacuum to collect dust at the drilling surface. For holes up to 82 mm only, covering the 32, 42, 52, 62, 72 and 82 mm Discovery sizes. Not suitable for the 92–162 mm sizes.
