Petrol Generators

Petrol generators are the most widely used portable power solution for construction sites, farming, events, home backup and recreational use. Running on unleaded petrol, they offer a practical balance of power output, portability and availability, with no need for a diesel fuel supply. At BetonTools, we stock petrol generators from leading brands including Crommelins and Maxwatt, across a range of output ratings and configurations.

Choosing the right petrol generator
Key specs to compare: rated output (kVA or kW — the continuous load capacity), maximum output (peak surge for motor start-up), fuel tank capacity and runtime at load, and outlet configuration (standard 10A, 15A, 240V, and whether 3-phase output is required). For powering sensitive electronics such as computers and inverter-driven tools, look for models with AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulation) for stable, clean power output. Electric start models add convenience for frequent or remote use. Ensure the rated output of the generator exceeds the total combined load of all equipment you intend to run simultaneously.
