Recommended Battery and ALLPRO Option
- STIHL AP 300 S 36V 281Wh battery (4850 400 6575): the recommended legacy AP battery option.
- STIHL ALLPRO AP 300.0 P battery (EA13 400 6523): the newer ALLPRO battery option, listed separately from the legacy AP 300 S.

Optional Brush Knife
STIHL lists the FSA 135 R for its 250mm three-bladed BrushCut knife. See the STIHL BrushCut 250-3, 250mm, 25.4mm bore (4112 713 4100) for tough grass and scrub. The blade is sold separately and is not supplied with this machine.
Use only the complete cutting-tool combination approved in your FSA 135 R instruction manual: the STIHL universal guard for mowing heads and metal tools, specified mounting parts, loop-handle barrier bar and required harness. Do not assume the standard line-head setup is ready for a metal blade. Remove the battery before fitting or changing attachments. Circular saw and shredder blades are not recommended here.
Blade Fitting Hardware
The STIHL blade fitting kit 4001 007 4400 (40010074400) is sold separately and includes a thrust washer, rider plate and collar nut. Confirm the required parts against your exact machine. This is mounting hardware, not a universal adaptor or complete conversion kit, and it does not include a guard.
