Power-Unit Compatibility
The current Australian KombiSystem guide lists HT-KM compatibility with KM 56 RC-E, KM 94 RC-E, KM 131 R, KMA 80 R, KMA 135 R and KMA 200 R. Confirm the exact attachment version and complete handle, harness and power-unit combination in the instruction manuals. For older power units, check the relevant manual rather than assuming approval from the KombiSystem name. MultiSystem MM tools are a different attachment system.
Optional 1m Carbon Shaft Extension
The separately sold STIHL carbon shaft extension (0000 710 7102) adds 100cm of reach with approved HT-KM 0Ā° combinations. Follow the power-unit, attachment and extension instructions for permitted working length and fitting. Do not assume multiple extensions are allowed.
Choosing a Replacement Chain and Guide Bar
HT-KM cutting setups can differ. Check the markings on the fitted guide bar, the chain pitch and gauge, drive-link count, drive sprocket and exact-model manual before buying. A shared 3005 bar mount or 30cm bar length alone does not confirm compatibility. The 1/4-inch Picco and 3/8-inch Picco systems are not interchangeable simply by changing the chain.
