The STIHL FSA 50 AK Battery Grass Trimmer (FA11 011 5700) makes it easy to tidy small lawns, garden beds and lawn edges. Adjust the shaft and loop handle without tools, angle the head to reach awkward spots, then rotate it for vertical edging. Supplied with an AutoCut C 3-2 line head. Battery and charger sold separately.

Battery Options and Runtime

The recommended AK 10 battery is a lightweight option for smaller jobs. Choose an AK 20 battery or AK 30 S battery for longer runtime. Batteries and a suitable AK charger are sold separately. This machine uses STIHL AK batteries, not ALLPRO/AP or AS batteries.

• AK 10: up to 25 minutes with the line head; up to 50 minutes with the optional plastic-blade head.
• AK 20: up to 50 minutes with the line head; up to 100 minutes with the optional plastic-blade head.
• Legacy AK 30: up to 60 minutes with the line head; up to 120 minutes with the optional plastic-blade head.
• AK 30 S: up to 60 minutes with the line head.

Maximum runtime varies with grass density, cutting head, speed, technique and battery condition.

Optional Cutting Head and Blades

The STIHL PolyCut 3-2 mowing head (4009 710 2104) is an optional alternative with two moving plastic blades. Replacement PolyCut blades, eight-pack (4008 007 1000) are available separately. Up to six spare plastic blades can be stored on the machine.

Use only approved cutting equipment with the specified guard. Plastic-blade compatibility does not approve metal grass blades, brush knives, saw blades or a metal-blade fitting kit. Remove the battery before changing heads, refilling line, cleaning or servicing. Follow the manual for protective equipment, operating distances and permitted conditions.
