The STIHL FS 55 RC-E is a lightweight, compact petrol grass trimmer with a loop handle, ideal for mowing grass and maintaining edges in difficult terrain and confined spaces. Fitted with the STIHL Easy2Start system for engine starting with reduced pull effort. Supplied standard with the AutoCut C 26-2 line mowing head. Well-balanced and designed for home garden and landscape maintenance use.

Optional Metal Grass Blades

Blade Fitting Hardware

STIHL blade fitting kit 4001 007 4400 (40010074400) is available separately with thrust washer, rider plate and collar nut. Confirm whether these parts are required for your exact setup. This is mounting hardware, not a complete conversion kit; the required guard is not included.

Use only the approved STIHL universal guard for metal grass blades and the complete cutting-tool combination specified in the machine's instruction manual. These links do not indicate that the standard line-head setup is ready for metal blades.
