Blade Fitting Hardware

The STIHL blade fitting kit 4001 007 4400 (40010074400) is listed for FS 70 and sold separately. It contains a thrust washer, rider plate and M10 x 1.0 left-hand collar nut. Confirm the required mounting parts for your exact FS 70 R and selected blade before ordering. This hardware is not a universal adaptor or complete conversion kit and does not include a guard, barrier bar or harness.

Use only the complete cutting-tool combination approved in your FS 70 R instruction manual, including the correct metal-tool guard, loop-handle barrier bar, mounting parts and required harness. Do not assume the supplied nylon-head setup is ready for metal blades. Keep both hands on the handles during operation. Stop the engine and follow the manual's precautions before changing attachments. Brush knives, circular saw blades and shredder blades are not recommended here.
