The STIHL BT 131 earth auger can be used to drill holes up to 300 mm in diameter, making the BT 131 one-person drill ideal for gardeners and landscapers as well as those working in orchards and in the construction industry,for setting posts, digging planting holes and drainage shafts or taking soil samples. The earth auger’s sharp drill bits and spindles with cutting blades efficiently penetrate even stony surfaces.
The STIHL 4-MIX® engine produces the power necessary for drilling. In addition to its power and smooth running, it is also low-maintenance, as it does not require any oil servicing. The air filter system with large paper filter allows for long cleaning intervals and also reliably protects the engine of the STIHL BT 131 earth auger.
The STIHL BT 131 earth auger is designed as a one-person tool and as such it has a single-hand multi-function handle, with all engine control functions integrated into the left handle. This means that you always keep a firm grip on the STIHL BT 131 earth auger . The vibration-damped handle frame ensures effortless working. During operation, you can guide the earth auger smoothly and precisely, as the large support cushion always sits comfortably on the body during drilling. In the event that you come across a hard layer while you work, the QuickStop drill brake ensures greater safety: if the STIHL BT 131 earth auger gets stuck in the ground, the brake is triggered as soon as the brake lever touches the user’s thigh. The drill stops immediately and can be easily unscrewed from the soil.
